Private AI Servers for Agents That Stay in Your Network
A private AI server runs custom agents on local language models, on data-center class GPUs inside your own network, so the data the agent reads stays on premises. ITECS sizes the server, sources it through distribution, sets up the inference stack, builds the agent, and patches and monitors it under Agent Operations.
- Who evaluates
- CFO, CIO, IT director, and buyers under data-residency or regulatory pressure
- Runs in
- A server with data-center class GPUs inside your network
- Connects to
- Your systems, with the data staying on premises
- Typical first engagement
- An AI Blueprint and a sizing call for the server
Deployment patterns
Three ways to run an agent
- Where it runs
- The employee's own Claude, Codex, or Copilot seat. No server.
- Who evaluates it
- Department heads and the employees who will build
- What it connects to
- Files and systems that employee can already reach
- Typical first engagement
- A Guided Build Sprint or a Local Agent Sprint
- Where it runs
- A governed Linux environment ITECS operates, on frontier models
- Who evaluates it
- COO, CFO, and operations leadership, with IT reviewing
- What it connects to
- ERP, CRM, finance, and document systems through controlled integrations
- Typical first engagement
- An AI Blueprint, credited toward the build

Private AI Servers
What ITECS delivers
The same agent build ladder as a hosted agent, on hardware that sits behind your firewall.
- Sizing
- A sizing call that maps users, workloads, and model class to a server tier.
- Procurement
- Server procurement through distribution. Hardware is quoted after the sizing call.
- Inference stack
- The GPU inference stack, set up and secured inside your network.
- Model selection
- Local models selected and evaluated against the workflow before production.
- Agent build
- The same AI Blueprint and build ladder as a hosted agent.
- Operations
- Patching and monitoring of the server and the agents under Agent Operations.
Fit
When a private server is the right answer
Right when
- The data the agent reads cannot leave your network
- Cost needs to stay predictable at high volume
- The workload is regulated or contractually bound to stay on premises
Usually not when
- A small team with light or bursty use
- A workflow that needs the newest frontier model
Server tiers
Four tiers by users and model class
Each tier runs on data-center class GPUs. Hardware is quoted after a sizing call; the tiers show user counts and model class only.
| Tier | Client size | Concurrent users | Model class |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Client size5 to 25 users | Concurrent users5 to 15 | Model class7B to 8B models |
| Professional | Client size25 to 75 users | Concurrent users15 to 50 | Model class30B class, or 70B quantized |
| Business | Client size75 to 200 users | Concurrent users50 to 150 | Model class70B class, multi-model serving |
| Enterprise | Client size200 to 500 users | Concurrent users150 to 300 | Model class70B full precision, long context |
Security
Inside your firewall, under your controls
- Runs behind your firewall, inside your network
- Integrates with your managed detection and response (MDR) monitoring
- Client data is not sent to a model provider and is not used to train models

FAQ
Private AI Servers FAQ
When is a private AI server the right answer?
When the data cannot leave your network, when cost needs to stay predictable at high volume, or when the workload is regulated. For small teams, bursty use, or a need for the newest frontier model, a hosted agent usually fits better.
How is the hardware priced?
Hardware is quoted after a sizing call. The site publishes the server tiers by user count and model class only; the agent build follows the published AI Blueprint and build ladder.
Which models run on a private server?
Local language models in the class each tier supports, selected and evaluated against your workflow during the AI Blueprint. The tier table shows the model class each server tier is sized for.
Who maintains the server?
ITECS patches and monitors the server and the agents on it under Agent Operations, the same operating model as a hosted agent.
Can a private server support regulated workloads?
Regulated work such as HIPAA or CMMC/CUI is custom-scoped, with the compliance framework governing the architecture. Standard packages do not apply to those engagements.
Start with an AI Blueprint
The AI Blueprint reviews your workflow, data sources and integrations, specifies the architecture and the human-review model, and ends with a fixed-fee not-to-exceed for the build.
